What is Green Regions?
Green Regions is a public awareness campaign and website created to support regional councils (RCs) and metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) in their role of environmental stewards and managers. The Campaign builds the leadership of regions in applying innovative and cost-effective solutions and in harnessing the benefits of the green economy. Through this website, webinars, research, best practices, leadership training and policy development, Green Regions is an efficient way to reach the 500-plus RCs and MPOs that encompass all of the counties, cities and local governments in the country to affect change and to secure the healthy future of American communities.
