Panelist will discuss what green infrastructure is and what it means to local officials and/or regional council executives.
Jack Scholl, EPD, Pittsburgh, PA
He will discuss the work his company is doing for the Southwest Pennsylvania Commission, identifying all green infrastructure in the nine-county region, including wetlands and wildlife habitat, as well as water trains and other Green amenities; he will discuss next steps and how the commission plans to pursue its green infrastructure development.

Greg Ruark, Director, National Agroforestry Center, Lincoln, NE
Panelist will provide special insights on utilization of green infrastructure and how to work with different federal agencies and private property owners.
Marlene Nagel, Mid America Regional Council, Kansas City, MO
Panelist will describe a project that the council is undertaking with the University of Missouri and the National Agro Forestry Center.
Ruth McWilliams, U. S. Forest Service
Panelist will discuss the concept of “landcare” as practiced in Australia and its possible applicability to green infrastructure.
